January 8, 2015
Q: "Disney has suggested rebooting Indiana Jones, now that they own the franchise. Is that true? Would you still be involved with that?"
Frank Marshall: "You'd have to ask my wife. They haven't come to me yet."
Q: "Does Harrison Ford still want to do one more?"
Frank Marshall: "I don't know. You'd have to ask her. She just worked with him on that other little franchise. I don't know. I'm too busy with Jurassic and Bourne and Sinatra."

January 27, 2015
Deadline: [Disney] has set its sights on Chris Pratt as the swashbuckling archaeologist they hope to build the new franchise around.

January 27, 2015
Latino Review: Indiana Jones reboot eyed for 2018-2019.

January 27, 2015
Variety: No writer, no clue on Spielberg and Pratt has no idea is even in the mix. While studio likes they also like other actors like Bradley Cooper and Chris Hemsworth aka the usual suspects.

January 27, 2015
Hollywood Life: Harrison would still like to be Indiana Jones and work with Steven and George one more time. He understands that change happens and has nothing against Chris at all. If they do it and go the direction of Chris, Harrison would like to pass the torch and make the movie with him instead of without him. He would want it to be a thing where he is in the Sean Connery role and Chris would be the son, or Chris would be a flashback to younger Indiana adventures.

January 29, 2015
Chris Pratt: "Like, dude, no. That's the problem. No, I don't know, I might be, I just got back from being in the woods killing a bunch of stuff. So maybe uh, maybe it is. This is very jarring. I had no idea. The is the first I'm hearing of it. That's right. Yeah."

February 6, 2015
Chris Pratt responded saying he knows as much as anyone else about the rumors, but that it would be an "awesome opportunity."

February 6, 2015
Matthew Vaughn: "If someone offered me Star Wars or Indiana Jones I would be very interested."

February 20, 2015
Deadline: Assuming a script comes in to his satisfaction, Spielberg hopes to direct that film [with Pratt]. Word from Spielberg's camp is that it's too early to determine what will happen because there is no script yet and they are just getting going.

February 22, 2015
Aaron Sorkin: "Yeah, I don't know if I'd be any good at it, but I'd love it. I love Indiana Jones movies. I haven't [done action], you know. I'd love to give it a try one day. Running and talking."

February 23, 2015
Chris Pratt: "It's all nothing until it's something, and so far, it's not something. I don't think it's overwhelming to contemplate. I don't know, it'll be, it'd be cool. No one's called me, you know. There's a lot of talk about it. The pressure would come just because it's such a great franchise. You wouldn't want to get it wrong. For me it would have to be perfect to do it, you know what I mean? So, we'll see, but like I said, it's nothing until it's something. But when I find out you're going to be the first to know. I'm going to text you."

March 30, 2015
E! Online: Harrison was driving his Tesla and seemed to be in good spirits. He was wearing a hat so there weren't any visible signs of wounds on his head. He was by himself but able to drive his car normally. He arrived at Steven Spielberg's house in the late afternoon and went straight through the gate. He was there for many hours and stayed all through the evening. He went home after 10 p.m.

April 1, 2015
Frank Marshall: "Harrison is at home and he's up and about. I talked to him yesterday and he's doing really well. He's pretty banged up, but he's recovering remarkably. He wants to play tennis. That's the thing you would expect him to do in a movie, but he did it in real life! He's a really good pilot. I've talked to a lot of pilots who said that was a hell of a landing and he did everything correct in that situation. He made an incredible landing, to his credit. He is, after all, Indiana Jones."

April 3, 2015
James Gunn said [Pratt as Indy] would be very cool, but ended by saying that rumor "seemed like complete bullshit."

April 24, 2015
Chris Pratt: "Well it's sacred territory, that's for sure. Just like Jurassic is to me. I've watched these movies as a kid and they were a big part of my fabric and my makeup. It would be thrilling but at the same time theres a big responsibility to not screw that up. I don't think I would just blindly go into it with enthusiasm I think I'd be pretty critical from the beginning, it would have to be perfect in order to do it. I think that's probably why it's taken so long for them to want to do another reboot after number four. Because that's sacred territory. The fans, they want to protect that, and rightfully so because its really important. I think it would be thrilling, but I'm kind of like the people who go visit Jurassic World. It needs to be pretty damn perfect for me to get excited."

May 5, 2015
Kathleen Kennedy: "[It] will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I'm not quite sure. We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it."

May 18, 2015
Chris Pratt: "I came home, and then there was paparazzi asking me about it and people asking me to sign Indiana Jones pictures and Indiana Jones hats." The truth, as far as he is concerned, is that someone high up at Disney did mention to him a while back that they were picking up the rights to Indiana Jones, to which Pratt commented that his action-adventure card was fairly full. He's also been around Steven Spielberg a fair bit recently, both before and after this rumor broke. "I just didn't bring it up and he didn't bring it up, so I don't know."

May 21, 2015
Chris Pratt: "You have to look at it and be like, Is this right for me? Is it right for me to do this? And is it perfect? You don't want to be the guy who f---s that up. It's pretty crazy that people hear that and they don't go 'What? That f---ing dude!' What has happened in my life that you can see that?"

June 1, 2015
Chris Pratt: "Ty [Simpkins] said, 'Chris, are you going to audition for Indiana Jones?' I was, like, 'Oh, I don't know, buddy.' Steven's right there, and Ty is oblivious, this sweet-natured kid, and he goes, 'Yeah, I don't really see it.' I was, like, 'Oh, man, you little s--t! Come on! At least tell him you think it would work.' [Spielberg and I are] like two dogs who sniff each other's butts. We hang out, and he's never brought it up, and I've never brought it up."

June 5, 2015
Chris Pratt: "It's the rumor mill. I've heard about it for the first time the same way everyone else did. I was one of the last people to know, in fact, because I was out of service for four days. My reps got a hold of me and were like, 'Jesus, Chris, pick up your phone.' It's a very exciting and very thrilling prospect, but, truly, up to this point nobody has contacted me or called me up and made me the offer. I would probably approach this like I did with Jurassic, which is it's really exciting, but I care so much about the original source material, I'd have to know it was perfect."

June 9, 2015
Daily Star: Actress Allison Janney, 55, a friend of Pratt's wife Anne Faris, has confirmed the star will be Harrison Ford's replacement. Janney confirmed Pratt on course for a $20m pay-day at an LA event.

June 10, 2015
Chris Pratt: "I don't have time to think outside of the eight hour window inside which I'm living. If that's down the road, that would be cool."

June 10, 2015
Chris Pratt: "Well, I have no answer to it. I don't know. I mean, no one has... I missed a phone call the other day. Unknown number. I hope it wasn't [Spielberg]."

June 12, 2015
Chris Pratt: "If you came here to tell me that I got the job, we could have a great conversation about it. It's not the first time that I heard that. It's an exciting prospect. Having said that, I would approach it the same way I approached this one, wanting to know what the story would be and why it would be important to tell that story now outside of the fact that Hollywood loves a good title with a far reach. If it's a great story with a really fresh and inspired take, I would definitely consider it."

June 15, 2015
Chris Pratt: "I actually got a call today from my brother, and he said it'd be cool if I did it, so I have my brother's permission. That's the first of many steps, none of the other steps have happened. He's the only one to call."

June 18, 2015
AICN: Lucasfilm [has] finally dated a new Indiana Jones film, penciling in December 2018. Q4 2018.

June 19, 2015
Q: "Is Harrison Ford going to be involved or is Chris Pratt taking over?"
Frank Marshall: "No, there've been no discussions on that so..."
Q: "So that's just like Internet rumors?"
Frank Marshall: "Yeah. I mean, we've had no discussions on Indy 5 to date."

June 28, 2015
Comic Book Movie: [Disney] wants to include a short tease at the begining of Star Wars TFA for another Lucasfilms property - Indiana Jones.

July 11, 2015
This Is Infamous: Trevorrow is still in line to work on a major franchise with Lucasfilm and Disney, it just wouldn't be Star Wars. Instead it'd be Indiana Jones.

October 9, 2015
Steven Spielberg: "We've got to figure this out because you see, now Tom is tied with Harrison Ford. Harrison and I did four movies, Tom and I have done four movies. Now I'll probably do an Indy 5 with Harrison. It'll be five for Harrison, four for Tom. I've got to make another one with Tom, so it'll be five for Tom, five for Harrison. And I think I'm going to leapfrog that way for the rest of my career."
Tom Hanks: "Can I just play the bad guy in the next one?"
Steven Spielberg: "With Daniel Day-Lewis in everything else!"

October 15, 2015
Chris Pratt: "It's a rumor. I haven't heard anything about it other than what's been online. So I don't know."
Q: "Well, hurry up Spielberg!"
Chris Pratt: "Yeah! Please! It really is just a rumor. I don't know. Well, probably. It'll probably be me."

October 16, 2015
Steven Spielberg: "There is a very strong probable chance that it's going to happen before Harrison decides to hang up the bullwhip himself."
Q: "Have you talked to him about it? What does he say?"
Steven Spielberg: "Of course I have. He's ready to get cracking. You can't keep a good man down. But I'm not getting him anywhere near an airplane in another Indy film! There will be no airplanes in Indy 5. None."

October 24, 2015
Frank Marshall [translated]: Spielberg's statements are simply "wishes" that become a reality. "There is nothing official. We want to work together again in Indy, but Harrison has first Star Wars and since then we'll worry about that character." Ford "absolutely is ready."

October 26, 2015
Frank Marshall: "There are a lot of rumors. We haven't even sat down to talk about Indy yet... at some point we'll sit down. But there's a bunch of people who could probably take the baton. [We're] not doing the Bond thing where we're going to call somebody else Indiana Jones... we have to figure this out."

October 30, 2015
Harrison Ford: "Will you? If you live long enough."

October 31, 2015
Steven Spielberg: "I can't wait to work with you again on Indiana Jones 5. This is no announcement, it's just my fervent hope."

November 11, 2015
Harrison Ford: "Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'd love to do another Indiana Jones. A character that has a history and a potential, kind of a rollicking good movie ride for the audience, Steven Spielberg as a director - what's not to like?"

November 17, 2015
Kiri Hart: "The benefit of making additional [Star Wars] episodes that move forward on the timeline is that we are making new space for ourselves."
Q: Something new from Lucasfilm?
Kathleen Kennedy: "I've talked about it with everybody at Disney. Alan [Horn] is very supportive of it. But at the same time, he's right when he says we've got a lot on our plate. And then I'll be working with them on Indiana Jones."

November 23, 2015
Steven Spielberg: "I'm planning to do another Indy. I don't know when it's going to happen, but I really want to do one. And, uh, I want to do it with Harrison. And, uh, when it can happen it'll happen. You know how these things work out. You gotta have a story, you gotta have a script, you gotta have the time in your life, you gotta make room for it, and Harrison is not getting any younger. So (laughs) the clock is ticking."

November 2015
Harrison Ford: "They are?! Who told you that? You're not keeping up. No, there is a new Indy movie in preparation. I think Steven has answered all the questions on that. You should check his comments."

November 30, 2015
Steven Spielberg: "I am hoping one day to make it to an Indiana Jones V. I would hope to make it before Harrison Ford is 80 and I get much older."

December 1, 2015
Harrison Ford: "Yeah, yeah, we've got about fifteen minutes [before I turn 80]. No, I'm delighted. If we get a good script, that's always been the hard part. You know, the willingness to do it is always there. They're great movies. Steven's a great director to work with. We have a good time. We have a really good time."

December 1, 2015
Harrison Ford: "Mmm, how much? No, it's not about the money. I would love to do another Indiana Jones and work with Steven again. And if we get a script, I'd love to do it. I'd like to see me do it before I turn 80. Yeah."

December 4, 2015
Steven Spielberg: "I don't think anyone could replace Harrison as Indy, I don't think that's ever going to happen. It's certainly not my intention to ever have another actor step into his shoes in the way there have been many actors that have played Spider-Man or Batman. There is only going to be one actor playing Indiana Jones and that's Harrison Ford. There are more adventures out there than films. So as long as there's more adventures out there, I've got a bullwhip, a fedora, a leather jacket and a man on a horse who knows how to get the job done."

December 6, 2015
Harrison Ford [translated]: "We are at the stage of developing ideas but there is a person hired, if not now working the script should be." Ford revealed that this person is David Koepp.

December 7, 2015
Harrison Ford: "Uh, could come to pass. Yeah. I want to see it happen. Steven wants to see it happen. Disney is happy to have it happen, they want to have it happen. (wink) This could happen, could happen. Yeah."

December 9, 2015
Kathleen Kennedy: "We're all trying to figure out when the right time is to step back in. Harrison really wants to do it; Steven really wants to do it. We've kicked around a couple of story ideas, but beyond that, I don't know yet. I think there will be one, we'll certainly move forward with Indy. But right now, everybody's just focused on Star Wars."

December 15, 2015
Harrison Ford: "I think [Lucas] has not just stepped away, but he's stepped into another world for himself, and he's happy there and engaged there with his family and the things that he's now interested in doing. I think he's left us well prepared to deal with, in this case, Indiana Jones. Steven is a good steward of the character and the stories. We have the opportunity to, you know, to think about what would be a good story, and if we get one we'll make another Indiana Jones."

December 18, 2015
Harrison Ford: "We're working on it. We're hoping a couple of ideas that are floating around will gel and I know Steven is interested so hopefully it will happen."

December 28, 2015
Bob Iger: "It starts with great storytelling. That is the heart, really, of the company. It's all about storytelling, that's what creates the most value. Obviously with George Lucas's Star Wars, and Indiana Jones by the way, as well, which will be coming. We have more great stories. And I think in a world where there's far more content or intellectual property and much more choice, great stories still hold their value and actually stand out, given all the choice that people have."

2015
IMDb: In early 2015, Martin Villeneuve penned an unsolicited script proposal for Indiana Jones 5 based on an idea he had pitched to his older brother Denis Villeneuve.
