The second and third series adapted The Princess of Peril and The Plantation Treasure, young reader novels that themselves predated the TV show's continuity. These strips helped define the tone and personality of a young Indiana Jones before audiences ever saw the Lucasfilm series. This conversation is bigger, deeper, and funnier than his first appearance, loaded with new stories about Lucasfilm's global productions, early digital innovation, massive modern blockbusters, and the creative philosophy that has guided his entire career. In this episode, Gavin shares brand-new stories about: His early days stepping into Young Indy and designing a show filmed on five continents. How Lucasfilm's location-first approach shaped production design in the 90s. Working closely with George Lucas and Rick McCallum during Young Indy and Radioland Murders. The origins of early digital compositing and how it fed directly into the Prequel Trilogy. Kevin Feige's surprising interest in Radioland Murders and its place in Lucasfilm history. And how modern blockbusters compare to Young Indy. Why building sets, coordinating departments, and conducting the orchestra remains the core of great production design. The unexpected joy of discussing Howard the Duck (yes, really). Lessons from a lifetime in film, and how sliding doors moments shape an entire career.
