Will the Nazi's
again be the villains?
Negative. Frank Darabont
said (in March 2003) that the sequel's 1950s
setting requires different villains from
those in previous installments, which were
set in the 1930s. "Those
pesky Nazis seem to have departed, which
is a shame, because I like those pesky Nazis,
because you can just squash them all over
the place," Darabont said, with
tongue in cheek.
Darabont would not say who the new villains
were, but assured that the tone of adventure
would be consistent with previous Indy movies.
"From the standpoint
of the fun of it and the adventure of it,
[there will be] no [change],"
he said.
Note: Because of the rejection
of Darabont's script in 2005, this may or
may not remain true in any of the later
revisions, rewrites, or the final draft
written by David Koepp. |

Is it true that
Indiana Jones will have a son or daughter?
Harrison Ford debunked
this old "Indy having a son" rumor
in 2002:
"Hey, there's
only one son in these movies and I'll always
be Sean Connery's little boy!"
Case closed!
Although in early 2007, young actor Shia
LaBeouf has signed on for a role in Indy
4. Some rumors
claim he signed to play Indy's son. But
who believes rumors, right?

Will we again see
a young Indy in some scenes?
During an interview,
recorded in April 2005, George Lucas gave
the following explanation about working
on the script:
"I came up with
this idea doing Young Indy, which has got
to be about seven or eight years ago, and
we've been through a number of scripts--six
or eight scripts. Six scripts, two rewrites.
So it's been down the path. There were certain
aspects of it that Steven and Harrison [Ford]
didn't like, and so we changed those, and
then we laid out a version and it didn't
come out the way it was supposed to, and
then we did another version and it didn't
come out, so we've just been going through
this development hell, which happens once
in a while. We'll see. When it comes out,
it'll be different. Different, but the same." |

Indy 4
production questions

Isn't
Harrison Ford too old to play Indiana Jones
again?
No! How could you think
that?! Here's a quote from Harrison Ford
himself that says it all (dated from November
2002):
"What astonishes
me," Harrison Ford says, "is
that people can't imagine Indiana Jones
aging at all. Why expect any character to
be frozen in time? The appeal of Indiana
Jones isn't his youth but his imagination,
his resourcefulness ... His physicality
is a big part of it, especially in the way
he gets out of tight situations. But it's
not all hitting people and falling from
high places. My ambition in action is to
have the audience look straight in the face
of a character and not at the back of a
capable stuntman's head. I hope to continue
to do that, no matter how old I get."

What are the filming
locations for the fourth Indy film?
Frank Marshall mentioned
in May 2006 that Indy will certainly go
all around the world again. And he added
that "There might
be a desert involved." But which
one?
In April 2007 George Lucas
told the newspaper that begins shooting
in Los Angeles this June (on location or
in studio?). Then it's on to several top-secret
global destinations. Lucas teases that one
will include a waterfall.
In May 2007 news arrived
that they will shoot car chase scene in
New Haven, Connecticut, USA.
